How SKU research records are built

How the SKU research tool scores product risk, document burden, creator fit, source freshness, and manual-review states.

The methodology favors conservative, source-backed SKU research with explicit uncertainty when platform rules, supplier files, or claims need manual review.

Review Notes

  • Inputs: Records combine category rules, official policy sources, supplier-file expectations, claim-sensitive phrases, fulfillment warnings, creator-demo fit, and basic margin assumptions.
  • Manual-review states: A SKU stays in manual-review mode when it is restricted, document-heavy, claim-sensitive, low confidence, stale, or dependent on policy interpretation. A cleaner score is not treated as a listing guarantee.
  • Maintenance approach: High-maintenance categories are assigned shorter review cadence. Source records include publisher, URL, retrieved date, reviewed date, and update cadence so stale assumptions are easier to find.
